Garlic butter

The best garlic butter recipe ever!

This recipe was inspired from "cheesy garlic bread" that we recently tasted in a local Italian bistro here! Hands down, theirs are probably one of the best in town. Garlic bread were fresh & hot out of the oven, and every bite was cheesy and crunchy with lot of flavors going on.

So, when I tried this recipe at home, it turned out super successful. My kids loved the garlic bread and what better way to enjoy it than with hot bowl of soup. Find the recipe for "curried" lentil soup here!

Basic Info
Complexity - Simple
Prep time - 5 mins
Cook time - 15 mins
Serves - 3-4

Ingredients
1/4 stick + 1 tablespoons unsalted butter, softened or partially melted
4-6 cloves garlic, grated
1 tbsp fresh parsley, finely chopped (or) 1 tsp dried parsley flakes
3/4 tsp freshly ground pepper
Salt to taste

1/2 french baguette
1 cup shredded cheese (any type you like), I used Mozzarella.

Method
Preheat oven to 400 degrees F.

Cut baguette horizontally into 2 halves. Place the baguette on a cookie sheet with the crust side down.

In a small bowl, mix all the ingredients except baguette & cheese until well combined.

Spread it evenly on the baguette halves. Liberally sprinkle cheese on top of the bread and bake for 15 minutes or until cheese has completed melted and has a few golden bubble marks.

Remove from the oven and carefully slice the bread into small pieces and serve. Enjoy while the bread is warm!
