A sweet & cutesy little give-away prasadam for guests during Navarathri!

Sugar, Ghee, Roasted nuts - what's not to like in this divine prasadam? Try this and you 'll fall in love with this sweet for sure, just as my family did!!

Basic Info
Complexity - Simple
Prep time - 30 mins
Cook time - NA
Serves - 15-20 balls

Ingredients
Pottu kadalai (roasted gram) - 1 cup
Sugar - 1/2 cup (granulated sugar / baker's sugar)
Ghee - 1/3 cup (or as required)
Cardamom powder - 2-3 pinches
Cashews - 6 nos
Almond - 6 nos

Method
Chop cashews & almonds into small pieces and fry them in a tsp of ghee until golden brown. Keep it aside.

Dry roast pottu kadalai until crisp & fragrant. Pottu kadalai shouldn't change color. Let it cool.

Using a mixer, grind the cooled pottu kadalai along with sugar into very fine powder. Add cardamom powder and give a pulse, so that everything mixes just perfectly.

Add fried cashews/almonds, ghee and use your hands to rub ghee into the flour. Now, take about 1/8 cup of flour and roll it into a firm ball.

Repeat with rest of the flour. Sweet & Cutesy Maa Laadoo's ready!

Notes
- Use more (or) less ghee depending on how easy the balls can be rolled into one mass without falling apart.
- Using home-made ghee from organic butter adds to the taste.
